5th Annual Bras for Breast Cancer

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we are teaming up with Riverwalk Casino Hotel and the American Cancer Society to offer "support" and bring awareness for early detection. It’s our 5th annual Bras for Breast Cancer. Here’s what we need for you to do… donate your old bras. We’re not kidding. We need as many bras as we can get our hands on because we’re gonna take those bras, pin them to a clothes line and hang them across the Mississippi River. AND for each bra collected, Riverwalk Casino will donate $1 for the fight against Breast Cancer. Our goal this year is $20,000!! Together, we are making strides against breast cancer!!

Deadline for bras to be received and counted towards total is Monday, October 29th.
Bridge ceremony and check presentation is Thursday, November 1st.

Feel free to decorate your bras however you choose. Use sequins, feathers, cut outs, whatever. Favorite sport’s team, favorite hobby… pictures of survivors or maybe a remembrance bra for those you might have lost. Write the name of those you are honoring or remembering on the bra. Put your favorite scripture or quote on there. We have seen a ton of different things throughout these 5 years. So have fun and remember the ultimate goal is 20,000 bras with a bra from every single state and some from other countries!!! Help us spread the word.

Also, don’t be shy about sending old or torn bras. We can still get $1 for each of those, PLUS, we can recycle them and raise money for charity. Here’s how far just ONE bra can go… $1 donation for each bra from Riverwalk Casino. If it’s gently used we will donate it to the women’s shelter in Vicksburg or to the Good Samaritan Center in Jackson to resale in their thrift store. If it’s torn or not usable, we will donate it the Salvation Army and they will take it for recycling and get money for doing so. See!!! Look how far your one bra went. Now, send us 10!!!
