A Beautiful Thing...
Quick Question...
Has volunteering become a thing of the past? Like, is it lame and just not the cool thing to do anymore or are we so wrapped up into ourselves that taking an hour out of your day for someone or something else is obsolete?
If you've answered yes to any of these questions, don't feel too bad because last year, I felt the same way you do but, change is a beautiful thing.
I began to volunteer for a national organization called Young Life which has a local chapter in Jackson. I didn't think that by me volunteering, servicing others, would have an impact on my life. Young Life changed my life!
How rude of me... I didn't tell you anything about the organization. Well, Young Life is a relational ministry outreach program that reaches out to high school students. We just hang out with students, let them be who they are while showing them a good, clean time all through the teachings of Christ.
